Don't let the age of a motorhome scare you. We purchased ours when it was 10 years old and it's currently 15 years old. We did put new tires on and have had a few minor repairs, but nothing major since we have had it. Just check it over for any signs of water damage (look inside cabinets & closets, behind sofa etc) and test the appliances, water, furnace, air conditioning etc.
We don't leave our pet for more than a couple of hours, but when you are in a park, let the office know you have pets and how to contact you. In the parks we have been in for more than a few days, people watched out for each other and we all knew who had pets, who didn't and normal routines. Someone would do something to make sure our pet was safe if something happened while we are gone.
