As it would be for us if it were true. But IT IS NOT TRUE. I don't know why people keep passing along incorrect information?
If you are out-of-state, your just do your regular online registration and self-certify that you are out-of-state and will get the vehicle inspected when you come back into the state. People will often only go back once every 12 years to get new photos taken for their IDs.
Please, unless you live in Texas, don't pass along incorrect information!
