That's definitely not true. If you don't enter the state you don't have to have inspections. Many full-timers never visit their domicile state except for renewing the driver's license if that's a provision. In that case, you would probably only be taking one of your vehicles there to renew your driver's license - that's after 12 years, I believe for Texas, you need to do it in person - new photo, etc...
