We use SD as our home state,no need to file taxes there (as per Turbo Tax)
However,we do have to file in CA,because of income from there.Tax is deducted and sent to the state before we get the check.We have yet to actually owe any taxes in CA so we get it all back.It just bugs me that I have to file to get my own money back.
It's a nice little interest free loan for CA.
