There is nothing illegal about selling your home, moving into an RV and traveling this great country and seeing all it has to offer. If there is, I would be interested in your sources. Various state governments have procedures in place for people who want to do just that. It allows us to have a domicile (reguired by the government), but our residence is our motorhome. Nothing illegal about having an address from which to vote, PAY OUR TAXES, obtain licenses, etc. We full time, but are also landlords. We have a dozen people living in our rentals WHO DO NOT OWN THEIR RESIDENCE OR ANY OTHER LAND, but maintain a domicile there. . . a place to vote, pay taxes, etc.
Roy, much of your information is incorrect. . . I don't consider my choices to be using a relative's address or buying a piece of ground. I use a mail forwarding service. . . perfectly legal. In fact, the USPS has its own mail forwarding service if you want to use it. And there are MANY things written about how to establish residency in various states. The requirements you state about electric bills, etc., are true for people who have a residence, but if you are a fulltimer, some states have alternatives to these requirements. We fulltimers research these things in depth before making a selection.
There is a publication entitled "How to Become a Texan" which actually is good information for whatever state you choose as a domicile. The fulltimers here are giving the best information.
