I am not a full timer RV'er but in reading up on how to do it is interesting and all sounds quasi-illegal to me... especially if you do not plan on purchasing property in that state. You read about residency fraud coming from States like Texas and South Dakota... Using the street address of a mail forwarding business sure sounds fishy to me.......
NO it is NOT quasi-illegal.
You are not a Full timer so perhaps it would be hard to understand the whole dynamics of it.
When someone works for for 40 years, puts their time, pays their dues AND PAYS TAXES for 40 years one would think they could be entitled to buy a MH and travel to see and spend money across this USA unencumbered.
Sadly the all controlling gov doesn't quite see it that way. So one is required to have an address at all times until they die. :(
We do what needs to be done to enjoy our retirement while traveling. Having a domicile satisfies all the issues and that is what we do.
We all file and PAY taxes on April 15 so no it's not illegal.:C
