Gramps, I am a 67-year old Vietnam Veteran, and I have found a lot of war veterans, especially from Vietnam, who are out here fulltime RVing. Many, if not most, are doing it for their mental and emotional health; it is much better than a psychiatrist or taking mental health drugs.
Nature has its’ own therapy which is greater than being chained to the rat race many find themselves in. I feel blessed to be able to fulltime RV in my retirement years; it is a treat. Like a permanent vacation and everyday seems like Saturday. Although I will say that for some it takes more adjustment than it does for others.
I was totally blind for about 5-years, lost my eyesight in Vietnam and went thru more than a dozen eye surgeries to regain my eyesight. When I was blind I thought of all the things I could do if I had eyesight, and being on the open road taking in all that there is to see, was one of the things I thought about. Today, and for sometime now, I get to live my dream.:C
