As I set here, pecking this note out in the warm 75 degree sunlight coming through the windshield that has a view of the whole lake shore here in, South Texas, I remember those January winters in Montana where I spent most of my life scratching out a living. I'll take this any day.
And it is in those moments that I know I made the right commitment to a new and alien lifestyle. It hasn't changed me much other than the peace I have within now that so many years of stress and strain have had on my soul. We have had several new "backyards" in our travels and adventures so far and I don't see that ending soon.
What we have down the road is planting a Park Model at both ends of our seasonal favorites and commute via Prius or such wind up car sorta thing until our own wheels stop turning.
One rule in our lives now, is NO MORE SNOW!
If I'd known that retirement was so splendid, I would have retired 40 years ago.
