You are correct! Everthing is "subsidized"....Even the sewer pipe leaving my house is "subsidized" by the combined taxes of the community.
I think that poster is just jealous that he can't (or won't) do what the OP is doing. If people would spend more time worrying about their life then what other people are doing they would be much happier people as a result.
