Having firearms IN your trailer while you travel or camp is not an issue. The practicality of getting a non-resident permit in every state you'll travel is near impossible, and as others have pointed out most non-resident permits are not recognized in other states than the one issuing anyway. I'd enjoy the travel, be aware of your surroundings and enjoy the PCS travel time. You may want to get a VA CHL when you arrive as their recognized in a lot more states.
