I think the whole issue depends on how YOU feel about living in a senior apartment at this time.
Would you have enough outside interests to keep you busy? You're used to traveling.
When you stay in a campground for a long period of time do you get antsy and want to get moving?
How do you feel about spending all your time in Washington's weather?
Your daughter means well but if you're healthy and still love traveling perhaps this is too early for a senior apartment. Good luck!
I did a bit of editing of the Quote in order to put the emphasis on those points. I will definitely print this out and post it on the bulletin board and discuss it with hubby.
We have OnStar for the sake of easing worries of our adult children. And to make traveling into places we have not been before more enjoyable.
Our Passports expire in 2016 and like I said we have one more trip we would really, really like to make.
The time we have spent in one campground for an extended length of time was 3-months when we got 'antsy' at the end of the 2nd month. We do volunteer within 40 miles of our home-base which is where both of our daughters live .. and that is the only place in which we do not get 'antsy' to hit the road again.
And yes we have multiple interests including seeing historical sites and places where people on this Forum have been and posted pictures which perks our interests in going there. We love watching rodeos, barrel racing, going on tours both on land as well as water. And belong to a couple of fraternal organizations. Plus traveling where our friends and extended family members live.
And writing this last paragraph causes me to stop and be grateful for a partnership where we indulge one another by going to places with each other even though those places are not on our "list".
Thank you for the thought-provoking questions. Makes me tempted to print out this entire thread and asking daughter to read the posts.
