Our home base is TriCities, Washington. And talking with our adult daughter today and she thinks we should settle down and get an apartment or go into a "senior apartment" .. we are fine, no medical ...

Be realistic with your abilities / faculties. Do it for yourself. Your time is limited far more than theirs. If you aren't ready to sit in a retirement condo and listen to your arteries harden then don't do it.
