Travel Trailer or Fifth Wheel?

I'm making the same comparison and generally a 5th wheeler will give you more storage space and a shorter truck + trailer combined length for the same living area, but it will cost you more money and you can't store large items in your truck bed. How much more will it cost? I'd estimate 10 to 20 percent more. A 5th wheeler will need a little more truck because it has more "pin weight" and it will get a little worse gas mileage because it's a little heavier, plus the 5th wheeler is just a little more expensive price itself, for the same living area.
