Travel with guns
When you are a full timer what issues are there with having a gun for protection? Restrictions when crossing state lines? Thank you.

My wife and I plan on travelling with my handgun while on a three month trip in a Class A motor home. I will have it packed and unloaded while moving. My problem is that we intend to be in Canada for three weeks, in Nova Scotia. I thought we might be able to rent a lockbox from somewhere on the US side to stow it prior to crossing the border.
Has anyone ever done this or have any other suggestions?
Again, not an attempt to start a discussion on travelling with a firearm, just looking for ideas from those who have.
