Travel with guns

If all goes well, I'll never "need" a firearm either. But since there are bad people in the world, and I have a solemn duty to protect my family, I'll keep that insurance with me just in case. That includes when I'm RVing - especially when I'm RVing because it's less secure than my home.

For the folks who choose to carry, there are several website where you can find each state's laws. There's a national safe passage law but I wouldn't depend on it, especially in New England...so I'd research the laws of each state you plan to enter. And remember that even if you have a concealed permit, and the state you're in has reciprocity, you're still required to know and follow THAT state's concealed firearm laws.

Because each state varies, I carry a small lock box if there's any doubt about where I'm traveling. If some place won't even let me have a handgun in a lockbox that's lock away in the RV, then I'm probably not traveling there anyway. If I'm not allowed to defend myself there, I'm not much interested in traveling there (or contributing to their economy).
