We decided on a 3500 SRW on a 34' 5th wheel when we went FT.
MH meant a having a toad.
I don't fold up, I don't like small vehicles and I don't like the way MHs were laid out...............so it was a truck/5vr. PERSONAL CHOICE PERIOD.
We traveled every week or 2 weeks rarely stay long in one place. 7 yrs. 6 complete trips around the USA.
In roughly 30 minutes we could be completely set up sitting under awning having 'welcome home beverage/toast' or packed up/hitched up ready to hit it.
Truck was used as daily driver....store/adventures/sightseeing etc. while 5vr was parked.
Put roughly 60,000 miles on 5vr and 100,000 miles on truck during those 7 yrs.
We hit the road to travel and travel is what we did. In our big ole longbed truck and tall 5vr.
That is what we chose and what worked best for us.
