weather

I'm not sure where to post this so I thought I would try here since full timers are more likely to be on the road looking for the best weather.(I know I'll be)

I am trying to make a go to list of places for the summer in Canada and the US....where temps are in the 70 to 80 deg range during the day.

I know that weather is variable everywhere but I would appreciate some suggestions on where to go in the dead of summer where the weather is generally in that range of temps.

thanks
  • Summers are 60-80 along the shores of Lake Michigan... more 60's than 80's... sometimes the jet stream stalls and we'll get soaked with 90-100 degree weather for a few days, but not that often.
  • We just spent the summer on the Oregon coast and the temps rarely got above 70.
  • Closer to you would be the Show Low area of eastern Arizona.

  • Thanks for the info.... thats what I need to know. I was wondering if going north would do it. I can see elevation is key.
  • Anywhere in the Northern Rockies near Banff and Jasper National Parks in Canada to Glacier and Yellowstone in the USA.

  • Basically you want to go up in elevation to get cooler temps. Last summer there was a lot of high 80 deg temps all the way to Fairbanks, Alaska, so just going north doesn't insure lower temps.
