- MookieKatExplorerThanks so much everyone! This isvery encouraging...as I have struggd with mixed feelings about selling this house and hitting the road!!! I have been very unhappy being stuck in rural GA with the heat humidity and GNATS!!!! I hate em!!!
Been wanting to move away for the past 16 years but not knowing where I would like to move to!!! Just anywhere but the South!!!
This will give us a chance to see where we would really like to be...if anuwhere...if not then anywhere and everywhere will be our home. It is kind of scary to leave all that is familiar on a permanent basis! - photonut4Explorer1. FREEDOM!

What particular things do you love about full-timing? A list would be nice!
1. Freedom to go where we want, when we want and to avoid weather extremes
2. The excitement of seeing what is around the next corner
3. NO grass to mow or all that other maintenance stuff.
4. The ability to have a mountain cabin or a beach front house within one unit.
5. Not having an alarm clock dictate my life.
6. Flexible planning. Plans written in Jell-O.
7. NO Real Estate taxes.
8. Small town politics
9. A smaller space. Everything is in its place and easy to find.
10. A feeling of contentment I have never felt in my life before. - sowegoExplorerWe loved:
*being able to stop for naps at rest areas
*not having a schedule but we are retired so that doesn't exist anyways
*being able to take the pets with us. In fact our dog and cat only knew the MH the last 2 years of their lives.
*going to stay near family out of state without going to a motel or staying in their home
*cooking our own food instead of eating out
*having our own TV
*sleeping in the same bed every night
