- Rob_FlaExplorerGetting into smaller sites can be a challenge.
Wife misses having a Bath Tub.
We do our homework on the next stop but sometimes we are not real happy with the CG and site.
Dealing with the normal repairs and breakdowns when RVing but we had repairs and maintenance when we had our S&B, just seems we have less now fulltiming. - photonut4ExplorerBacking our 38' fiver into a spot at a 90 degree angle. Road noise in some rv parks. Small access area between our king size bed and the closet (very tight). Interior noise when a/c is running.

We've all said what we love about living in the RV and full timing, but I feel certain we all have something we don't care for. I don't like having to find a place to land every night if we are on the road and just roaming the country. What is your dislike?
The cons:
1. Small shower area and limited hot water.
2. No Pizza delivery in most areas
3. No daily newspaper delivery in most places
4. A small refrigerator
That's about it. 99.9% is great! - valhalla360NavigatorNot having a basement and garage to work on projects.
- Devonm2012ExplorerHave been fulltiming now for about 1.5 years. LOVE it but it is different and not for everyone. Our dislikes are:
1-Parks that are not as advertised.
2-Severe weather.
3-People that do not respect others.
4-People that do not adhere to rules (dogs on leash, etc.)
5-Never knowing where anything is. (big creature of habit and took me a while to get used to never knowing where the grocery store was, pharmacy, etc.
6-Life still goes on. Teeth break, you get sick, dogs die and the RV breaks down. Sometimes, during trying times, you can feel a bit isolated or "lonely" if in an unfamiliar place.
Still feel the benefits far outweigh the negative and we love every minute. Just not for everyone and life is never perfect. - botts12ExplorerGetting the 40 foot 5th wheel into a tight space.
- sowegoExplorerThere is a dark side to everything:
*I dislike RV parks...some are great, some are horrible and unless you've been there before you just don't know...Some are safe, some not, some noisy, some folks disrespect your privacy, some too crowded/spaces too close together. In some cases like going to a mall at Christmas and all you can do is try to find somewhere else.
*the reality of dirt...it's true an RV is smaller than a stick house but you track in just as much dirt! Cleaning takes less time but with the tight quarters is a bit cumbersome.
*interior noise...reality time...when the TV is on, the micro/convection is running, the AC is going, raining and snowing outside so can't escape it...time to put in the ear plugs! It is what it is!
*space...even in the largest units...those walls can start closing in.
*hobbies...if the lady likes to sew and the gent loves to do wood working...it's a bit hard to drag all that stuff along and find room to spread out! - N7SJNExplorerWe have been doing this for 9+ years and what I miss the most is room. Yes, I was aware of the lack of room when we started, but it seems to get smaller as time goes by.
- sdianel_-acct_cExplorerI plan our stops so I don't have to find a place at the last minute. I hate that too! I miss my bathtub. But my love list is a hole lot longer!!
- doxiemom11Explorer IINot having a dishwasher or a bathtub.
