What is under your mattress?

Hi all. We are going to be Class of 2015 Full Timers.
Will be putting a new mattress in the 5r in the next month or so, and want ideas before hand.
I have always used just a sheet under the mattress on top of the plywood but I am wondering if there is a better option.
I am a little worried about humidity, since have never had to deal with that. Plan on getting an EvaDry Dehumidifier for that purpose but I had read nightmare stories about soaking wet mattresses.
What do you use?

    We just have plywood under the mattress and it has always been fine.
    Do you really have to worry about humidity in Az? :)

    I do not understand the question. Why put anything under the mattress. A sheet is no different from the cloth on the bottom of the mattress. Having said that my DW always put an old sheet under the mattress even in the stick home. To keep it clean (?). Who knows?

    I like to put money $$$ under it, but I do not have enough to cover the full mattress. . . . :W
