What do you have for Medical Coverage.......Medicare, Obamacare, etc.
Medicare........pick the state you want to declare as your 'domicile' (need to check on residency requirements etc.) SD, FL, TX are ones most often used by full timers.
Obamacare........then you need to really check out what plans/coverage are available by/within each state.
SD & FL at this time do not have Multi-State plans available so medical coverage is In State.......tough for a full timer that is traveling. Emergency may be covered provided policy requirements are met but routine stuff is most likely out of pocket.
Multi-State Plans........LINK
Full Timing 'domicile' state use to be fairly easy.......little bit tougher now a days if still under 65 yrs old.
I currently have ins through my Local Sheet Metal Workers union and have 6 years before I have to worry about Medicare. I get a pension every month so not getting taxed on as much as possible would be good too.
Why is finding a domicile state different if your under 65?
