The cost of your insurance is one thing. The way they handle claims is quite another. My son has his car insured through State Farm and he just had a claim for ice-pothole-curb damage to his car. What a headache getting the money for the repair!
I am with AllState and have put in a few claims in my lifetime. They've never given us any hassles, pay the repair shop direct and make adjustments if the repairs end up being more than the original quote.
My son went with State Farm because they gave him cheaper rates than AllState. Now he knows why Mom and Dad wanted him to say with AllState!
Why do I say this? Because sometimes the "cheapest" rates are not always the best! There's more to consider than just a cheap price. You have do to a little research on how they handle claims! How fast they get the money to the appropriate parties, and how they handle you after you've made a claim or two. It's more than just money!
Choose wisely "grasshopper!"
I agree to a point but as one reply stated they all have issues when paying claims in some form or fashion so how would you know cheapest wasn't better if you never had a claim with them??
I've had State Farm for several years, never had a claim but they are the least expensive of any I checked and I have checked over the years but that doesn't make them bad...I think a lot depends on your agent too!
