Winter protection for Chicago home?
We will be traveling January thru March. What steps should I follow to protect my house. My big worry is my furnace turning off and the water pipes freezing. Suggestions appreciated.

Go outside and turn the water off at the water meter and open all faucets and drain the pipes.
