Your opinion wanted, no seriously ... mail?

We are 6 weeks from pulling up our stakes here in this house. We are currently purging through our stuff, selling copious amounts of big items on Craigslist and I"m working out my shoe collection. No, 4 pairs of flippies is NOT too many!

So we are ready to flip the switch on our mail. We have looked around and it seems there are many options. UPS Store, Postal Annex, Becoming a hermit .... but, they all seem about the same.

Based on your personal experiences which is best? What have you had success with or which caused you trouble?

We do not receive much mail. We pay everything online but still, some things require an envelope.

Thoughts?

  • We use MyRVmail in FL.Easy to use, you are notified when/what mail comes.Ship, shread or scan & email as needed.
  • I use the UPS personal mail box (PMB) and they forward it to my location. Not sure if all UPS stores do that. The real secret is to stop getting snail mail and do everything on line. Almost all my paper mail is junk mail now.
  • When we decided to go full time, we changed our mailing address to our daughter. She gets all our mail. She sorts out the junk and sends the rest to us as needed.
  • I found a private mail service close to my previous home.
It's been working great for 11 years.

If you call me I can give you details.

Like said above you need to decide residency first.
  • In general, its not just about mail. Its about residency, and you are the only one able to say which state is best for you.
