wbwood - Full timers insurance is a lot different. I believe if someone slips on your camper steps and breaks their leg your home owner insurance should protect you. We don't own a home anymore. And if my rig was totaled I get a replacement valued at original buying price. I believe you will get blue book value. Also the contents of your rig is covered with full timers insurance A lot of big differences.
My home insurance and RV insurance doesn't even equal $1400 a year as it is and you are talking about a $1400 difference. For what its worth. When we traded in our TT and got our motorhome, we called GS Insurance to get the coverage. We went through GS for the TT and was covered through Allied. When they quoted us for the motor home, they quoted us automatically through GMAC (now National General). Their quote was in the $900 range. We asked to be quoted through Allied and it was half the price. You need to do a lot more shopping around.
