That is probably true in many cases. However, they should answer the phone quicker then 15 minutes, and at least print the correct phone number on the card.
This epitomizes Good Sam's business model. Only use the customer to exploit money- care not about the customer himself.
As or the numbers called, I can't say either way on that. Were there several numbers on the card? Was the operator misinforming him? Was it just a very busy day with lots of calls? Was there a shortage of operators? Was it just poor service? And so on.
I have just seen several complaints about roadside service that the person was able to do it by themselves quicker and I was just pointing out that this is true of any service. It will pretty much always be quicker to do yourself.
