I think some of us unknowingly shoot ourselves in the foot and then want to point the finger at everyone else.
Goodsam's is a call center. They do not own any tow trucks. They attempt to match tow providers with the situation.
Having a flat with no spare is an immediate bad situation that is logistically a challenge to resolve. Many providers will pass on that call because it is a money loser from the start. Figuring out what tire you need and tracking it down is a losing proposition monetarily.
Finding a provider interested in that call is a uphill battle.
Having a flat without a spare with a typical car or trailer will challenge the service provider and often lead to poor service.
I understand your frustration but I don't have roadside assistance to save me from myself. You are taking a huge gamble whenever you travel without a spare.
If a want roadside assistance to have a fighting chance I must do a few things for myself.....like have a spare available if I want them to fix my flat.
Otherwise you will be in for a long wait while your scenario gets sorted out.
