jffnkrn and 4x4Dodger,
I apologize that your questions were not answered directly by Camping World. As far as the Rally's go they have been canceled for 2016. I am not sure at this time what the plans are for 2017. 4x4Dodger, our app does not have control of the battery life of your cell phone. Apps that utilize GPS tend to drain more battery than ones that do not. I would recommended buying an adapter so you can keep your phone charged while you are driving. I have also been made aware that you can buy an extra battery that attaches to your phone giving you at least two hours of extra battery time. I also just looked at your original post and it appears as if fellow members have also left some great suggestions as to how to save the battery on your phone. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Tom Thanks you for finally answering my question. However I think you missed the point.
I would ask that you go to the google play store and read the reviews of the Good Sam APP and it's battery drain issues.
Second NONE of my other GPS Apps (Google Maps, Mapquest, RV Parky, Oh Ranger and several more) use my battery to any great degree. However when I downloaded the GS App my batt is being devoured very Quickly My guess is at least five times faster than before. (no other new apps have been installed)
This is a programming issue with the app. No app "has control" of battery life. But it is obvious that before installing the GS app I could go as much as 4 or 5 days without recharging. Since installing I am lucky to get a day and a half.
Since UNINSTALLING the app I am back to my usual batt life.
Sorry to say that because I went more than four days for an answer to this issue I uninstalled the App and will not reinstall until I see that this issue has been corrected.
Thanks again for the reply.
