I am assuming you know better than that, if you run your engine without ever changing the oil do you expect a warranty company to pay to fix it? every manufacturer that provides a warranty wants to know what caused a failure before they will pay to fix it. As far as timing unless your contract has a time for inspection or repair, than its pretty much up to them to decide what is reasonable.
