Bit of an update.
The TT is no longer in my possession. Like I stated earlier, I signed the paperwork for the trade-in a couple of weeks ago. Saturday I dropped it off and picked up the new to me Fifth Wheel. When I was finishing dotting the i's and crossing the t's I mentioned this to the F&I manager at this Camping World Dealer and I showed her this thread. She said she would make a phone call for me, which I assume would have been today. I didn't have time to to bug her about it anymore today. I got home today from work and what do I find?
An envelope from Good Sam Vehicle Insurance Plan. Open it up and there's 2 pieces of paper. The first paper has my particulars on it including the Date of Notice (7/30/2014) & Policy Period (4/1/2014-10/1/2014) Then below that is states:
NOTICE OF EXPIRATION
RE: Policy Cancellation Effective 7/28/2014 as 12:01 AM
Please accept this notice as confirmation that the above policy has been cancelled as per your request. If this is incorrect, please contact our Customer Service Dept. at 1-855-474-2847 so one of our representatives can review your account.
So......Remember from my 1st and 2nd posts in this thread I told them to nevermind and the woman said to just call them a few days before October 1st to tell them I won't be renewing. Then remember the screenshot from my 3rd post where it shows a request for the policy being cancelled. Well, the 2nd piece of paper in the envelope is a Payment Coupon!
The top portion says:
PAYMENT OPTIONS Pay Now
Pay in full $30.00
Note: If received in our office after the due date, a $10.00 late charge may apply.
Nice......
The Payment Coupon states:
Minimum Amount $30.00
Payment Due Date Upon Receipt
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I guess that note about the due date leaves it open for them to give me a late charge at any moment. Like 24 hours from now. At least they knocked $20 off. I guess that is what was left on my premium as it was still in "storage" since Saturday was the first time it left my driveway in almost a year. I believe I will be contacting the F&I manager on Tuesday and tell her about these two pieces of paper.
