- crsgamerExplorerChindog - I agree with both issues -LOL. If would be nice if there was a feature that would allow miles or hours to be entered for planning. Crossing some states there just aren't too many choices. That is when you hope they have nice road side rests that allow 8+ hours of parking.
- crsgamerExplorerVery important - Check the GPS coordinates for the campground carefully. Good Sam had the wrong coordinates for our current stop in Cloverdale. We were directed about 40 miles past our destination. Fortunately Waze got us back on track using the address not the GPS data. In the future I will double check the coordinates listed by Good Sam for a location by checking the address on my Garmin hand held. We had experienced the same issue several months ago at a different campground.
- crsgamerExplorerI have planned several long distance trips. I don't know a short cut, but judge a visual distance in the areas close to home and then start looking for camping places in about that number of 'inches/miles' After I pick a spot, I check to see the miles/travel time and adjust from there. Good luck - this has worked for me and I am planning another cross country trip (CA to IN) later this summer.
- Miles_AwayExplorerI've used it and it worked well.

I just eyeball the route and pick someplace to add to the trip. Then I can see how close I came to my estimate, and move forward or backward along the route to come closer to my desired day's travel distance.
The frustrating part is when there are no campgrounds near the spot I'd like to schedule a stop for the day.

Has a lot of great features. However I am trying to figure out how to figure out every 250-300 miles for stopping for the night. Anyone know a short way of doing this? I have been doing it by hand and I am losing my mind
From my starting point, I just look for a town approx. 300 miles away in the direction I am headed. Then I just use the Internet Good Sam Directory or the Good Sam paper directory to pick out RV parks in or near the city/town, then just pick one. - southernskyExplorerI use googles, figure miles and go back to trip planner. Also use http://www.rvparkreviews.com/. Been doing it this way for years.
