BARCLAY BANK PROBLEMS

Iam new to this forum stuff so please excuse my stupidity

iam having a real problem with being a member of the good sams club after reading recently of the problems and fine of 43.5 million that was imposed on them
why does the good sam club and camping world have to deal with this kind of gangster type bank
why can't we deal with a normal locally owned bank born and made in America
Barclays is a foreign bank do we really need to deal with this
I was just wondering what other members think of this
I have been a life member since 2008
Perhaps we should bring this up to mr marcus Lemonis and encourage him to find another bank to deal with a great responce he may see my point
Thank You for your time

  • Could someone explain this thread to me? I have no idea what the OP is talking about.

    :h

If you're looking to do business ONLY with those companies that are careful to avoid association with those who've run afoul of Regulatory Agencies:

The Bank of Francesca can make that claim and would be happy to Take Your Money. :)
  • I sure wish I had so much idle time I could worry about what banks different businesses bank with. And how or why would you know that Good Sam Enterprises banks with Barclay's anyway? I am just one person, and I currently have direct banking relationships with at least 9 different financial institutions (mortgage, checking account, brokerage account, auto loan, 4 credit cards and RV loan). That doesn't count how many different entities have come and gone from them acquiring and being acquired, loans being bought and sold and me opening and closing accounts. I am sure that Good Sam has multiple accounts with multiple institutions as well. There are about a billion things I would much rather lose sleep over.
  • Barclays is listed on the New York Stock exchange - your facts are incorrect

It traded 2.2 million shares last Friday
  • My RV dealer got me hooked up with US Bank, I guess its who you do business with..

    No complaints here..

So which major US bank hasn't been fined millions or billions over the past few years?

    ANSWER IS;
The ones that went belly up.

By the way did everyone notice that the guy joined to make his rant?

And to the OP if you do not like Barclay's Bank then do not do business with them. CW and Good Sam are not forcing you to bank with them
