CoachNet pays the tow to the "nearest shop qualified"" to repair your coach.
That can be problematic because CoachNet's list of "qualified shops" is sometimes WRONG!

When I had a CAT engine problem CoachNet paid for the 60 mile tow to the "nearest qualified shop" on their list.
However that Caterpillar shop DID NOT work on motor homes!....I had to drive,(LIMP), my coach with a de-rated/malfunctioning engine, over 50 miles to another CAT shop that could, (and did), fix it!

BTW, when I had a Norcold refrigerator problem I called CoachNet for a referral to a repair shop.
They referred me to a travel trailer manufacture that put Norcold's in their new trailers but DID NOT repair them.

I'm back with AAA after having tried Good Sam for a year; and this is the only reason I switched back. (I'd had AAA for years and there were a few things that looked better with Good Sam, so I thought I'd give it a try.) No complaints about Good Sam's service, as far as it went; but I didn't realize at the time I made the first switch that there was this for me important difference between the two coverages.
I want to pick the destination, and AAA's the only provider that offers me that option.

As a caveat I'll add that I've read that some folks have encountered regional differences/difficulties with AAA due to rules of local "clubs". I know nothing about that, never having encountered any such problems myself- but my travels/troubles have been confined to the Western States so far.

Good Sam has a Program called Travel Assist, that will do that.

If this post is legit, I really don't know what unrepairable means.

I've never been concerned about an unrepairable vehicle. Maybe I should? My concerns have only been the time wasted getting things fixed.

I have had to deal with breakdowns on occasion, some creativity, dollars, and a cool head has always managed to get me back on the road.

My friends were about 2,000 miles from home last year when a tire/wheel from another vehicle attacked them. The MH and towed were both disabled so they rented a car and headed back home. When everything was repaired they went back and picked up the rig. Ruined their trip but insurance covered most everything.

Thankfully I've never had this happen. I have a towing service but, that only gets me 50 miles. My plan,( and like I said this hasn't happened) Is to have them tow me to a park where I can camp for a few days while calling friends and family to come out and get me. I have a pickup and Travel Trailer so, my family and friends can always come out with a couple of trailers and get me back home if needed. It may take a while and I may have to leave something behind for a few days while I get a ride home. Then have to arrange for somebody/something to go back and pick up whatever I had left behind. But, that's a chance you have to take. All you can do is keep things tuned up and hope for the best.

Double check that whatever insurance / roadside assistance you have pays for towing your camper. If not, virtually every towing company is able to tow a camper, but you have to pay for it.

1. Have some sort of road side assistance policy. Had a wheel bearing fail on our 5er one time and that took care of us.

2. Be creative. We had a wheel bearing fail on our toad. Rented a UHaul trailer.

3. Always carry a little bit of food and water in case you are stuck some where for 2-3 days (see item 1 above)

Good Sam Road side insurance is awesome. We've had to use it twice in the last 3 yrs. We highly recommend their service.
