Member Services and the Website offer an advantage not offered by RV.net: real time interaction, the opportunity to chat with a live person via telephone or keyboard. Many of our members find that a real time conversation, with immediate feedback, is most effective and efficient when focusing on a complex or multi-faceted issue. Regardless, our objective remains the same: to respond to your RV questions.
Regarding the breakdown question, if you suffer a disablement with a towable, we will not leave your RV on the side of the road! We will tow your RV to a safe haven, as indicated in my earlier post.

With all due respect, I disagree. I think the best forum to accomplish the answer to his questions is right here! I, for one, am very interested in the answer to his latest question and am sure many other of our members are also. I also don't think I should have to make a phone call to find out the answer since the question was asked here. After all, the name of this forum is "Good Sam Roadside Assistance".

Barney, "with all due respect", I value the information on the RV.net forum as much as you do but at the end of the day, who pays for the ERS tow costs? Frank? Barney? or me?
If there is a dispute, need for final clarification or misunderstanding regarding the ERS tow services, I personally would want to use information/answers from both the RV.net forum and Good Sam Roadside member services. :)

Oh, fer cryin' out loud- What's with the third degree???? Does anyone think there's a one-size-fits-all answer beyond that already given?

A bunch of anonymous posters trying to extract a Globally Enforceable, Specific Promise from a company courteous enough to respond in public at all....ridiculous!

Actually I think I m thurstons question was a fair one. Frank state several days. I m thurston asked about what if it was overnight. Two different scenarios.

But feedback is not immediate on here. If they wanted immediate feedback, then they would just call in the first place. They post a question and wait for one of you to reply back with a posting to send them a private message with their contact info. And then you contact them and the rest of us don't have an answer to a question we may be waiting for. Why not just send them a private message when you see the question and ask them to call you or give you their info? If answers are not going to be answered fully here, then there's really no need for an open dialogue area that everyone can read.

It seems to me that the purpose of this Forum is to provide an avenue of communication with the Company, not to provide an Arena for folks with too much time on their hands to flex their muscles in.

An avenue of communication would be a phone number or email. It's open for dialogue. Saying send us a pm is not dialogue.

A dialogue is by definition between two people, in this case presumably the O.P. and the company. ("Di" is the Latin for "two")

Except as a bystander, more properly perhaps as a busybody, where do you come in to the conversation?
