Changing Tires

I know the rule is to change tires between 5 & 7 year of age no matter the miles...but just how many of y'all do this?
  • I'd skew toward the upper end of that range 7yr but yeah, I've replaced tires with good tread left because they were old.

AGREE!!!! Even if the tires look good , I put 4 new tires on.
  • Me too. I just don’t want an issue while on the road if I can prevent it.
  • Those numbers are nonsense unless you’ve mistreated the tires. Goodyear and Michelin have a 10 year life but suggest annual inspections after year 7. Proper inflation, keep them washed, but more importantly keep them moving. Letting tires just stay put is probably the worst thing you can do.
