Charge for mounting tire to rim
If a tire store charges $35 to mount a tire to a rim why does Good Sam Roadservice charge $130 if you already have a tire and do not purchase one at time of blowout?

Any time you call GSRA for service that may require you being responsible for a part or labor costs(such as a valve stem, new battery or mounting a tire to a rim), our dispatchers will put a $130 authorization on your credit card to secure payment. This authorization is similar to what would be held upfront at a hotel or rental car company.
Once the service is completed, our service provider will give GSRA dispatch the final total to be charged to the credit card. I would recommend that anytime you are responsible for parts and labor during a service call, to call back into dispatch after service completion to receive an exact total and request a receipt.
