There is no major business that ever responds to individual customer service issues on a forum. And those same businesses will not lay out their entire customer service strategy in public either. There is no upside. Customers are never going to understand the challenges, logistics or other factors that go into a customer service model. For example, any roadside assistance program is dependent upon privately owned tow companies. Those service provided by any of the roadside assistance programs are impacted weather, time of day, date of needed service, location of the customer, location of the service provider, type of service needed, traffic, etc. etc. The customer doesn't really care that the service was delayed by a snowstorm on Christmas day when they need a tow for their 45 foot Prevost that is stuck in a ditch 50 miles from the nearest one horse town. For a business to try and explain the extenuating circumstances in a public forum will just sound like hollow excuses.
Do you really think that all of us customers are so incredibly stupid that we cannot understand the working of a business customer service policy? (although that was not the point of my post) I know that is your essential view of all customers, but honestly most of us are plenty smart enough to understand.
It's customer service not Rocket Science.
As for the rest of your remarks it seems you missed my point completely.
