Covered or not

Interesting conclusion and one that has helped me decide to go with GSESP. I have read the contract multiple times and the way this claim was handled from the beginning was spelled out in the contract. I am switching from Route 66.

An update: I was informed yesterday by Camping World of New Braunfels, TX that my issue is a faulty Lippert jack and several hydraulic lines connected to the faulty jack. GSESP has approved all repairs. I am now awaiting CW's receipt of the parts so they can finish the job. Hopefully the work will be completed before we head out for Spring Break.

We were just denied a second time on our service contract with Good Sam. The first time, they denied replacing a broken step on our Tiffin MH. They did pay to replace it the first time it broke. One year later, it broke again. Out dealer, Vogt here in Ft Worth, went ahead and ordered the step and when they called for authorization, it was denied. That was $1500 on an item that was previously approved. Then last Nov, we took our MH to Red Bay for some repairs at the Tiffin repair facility. As of his last year, Tiffin no longer accepts extended warranties. So we called when it was in the shop and were told tus to send in the repair bill with a brief explanation. We did and again it was denied. They said we need to take our MH to a reputable service center that will call for prior authorization. REALLY! How do you get better service, especially for full timers, that at the factory. Very sorry we bought this Good Sam policy. We feel they are taking advantage of their customers and not honoring the spirit of the contract.

No, it isn't. That is why I called GSESP and got no answer to the question.

Why don't YOU read YOUR extended service plan and then YOU will know what is and is not covered. Then when YOU get a diagnosis of what failed, YOU will know if the failed part is covered.

It really is that simple.

Wind damage took shingles off the roof of my mother's house. Insurance covered the claim for replacing the shingles. Contractor came out for the estimate. Said the wood under the shingles needed to be replaced too. Insurance paid for the shingles, but not the wood holding on the shingles. They said there was no wind damage to the wood, but the wood had to be replaced to hold the shingles. Mom ended paying out-of-pocket the cost for the wood.

There's always loop holes. I don't like extended warranties.

your situation is not a loophole. The wind damaged the shingles not the wood. The fact that the wood was bad due to age, water leakage, is not a factor. Insurance company processed it correctly.

A loophole would have been IF they claimed the bad wood caused the nails to give resulting in the shingles coming off.
