Maybe we should start a thread called, "What would you have done?" People do what they think is best at the time. Not all people are wealthy and can just pick up the phone and make air and hotel reservations. Maybe their situation wasn't as bad as they thought when they first left. How many of you are so-well funded that you have money to burn? We don't know the OPs financial situation.
