I am probably missing something, But The OP breaks down at 1pm, calls GS they say the can not tow until tommorrow. It is now maybe 1.30, 2.00 ish at the latest.
Why did she wait, until 6pm to decide to call 911, or do something different, Seems like I would have gone to plan B at like 2.05.
By chance, was it your original plan to spend the night in the camper? Even though it was blazing hot, and your husband was in ill health?
Then about 6 or so you realized maybe that was not a good idea?.
If that was the case, your wound is self inflicted, you stranded yourself.
