ENCORE CAMPGROUNDS

Why do the Encore Campgrounds not allow C2C members to make reservations on weekends? That limits where we C2C RVers that still work for a living can go. If they don't want to have us in their campgrounds on the weekends why should we want to go there on the week days? Maybe C2C should partner up with other groups and tell Encore to take a hike.
  • C2C doesn't OWN any CGs...they are an affiliate camping membership

Means you can make reservations at C2C affiliate parks based on 'availability'

The CGs that have affiliate partnership with C2C have to provide priority to THEIR direct members first and as a 'private' cg they can have black-out dates which can e weekends, peak season times etc.

Each 'private' cg has their own rules/restrictions as to usage by Non-Members (Full Member) vs 'Affiliate' members

We used C2C during our FT travels.......many CGs NO Restrictions, Some ALL Peak Season, Some 2 weeks during peak season, some on weekends, some holidays.
It varied as much as the CGs.
  • I suspect it is not that they totally block C2C it is that belonging to the network only means you have to provide a certain number of sites per day. I don't think it is just weekends. I know that my home park only sets aside like 10 sites for each of the reciprocal programs it belongs to and will not vary from that. When they are taken no more are given out.

On the flip side we often go to a park on the Oregon coast under reciprocal programs and home park members who are guaranteed a site are sitting in overflow while we get a full hookup.
  • You can't get into your "home" park? Mine guarantees me a spot any time I call them. If its not my home park then I have to roll the dice and hope for an opening. Parks are responsible to their own membership first and foremost and transients get the left overs. It is what it is.

I found that almost ALL C2C listed CG's have VERY limited days that you can use the discount on, weekends being their biggest blocked dates. And it's planned that way. THE reason I don't use C2C anymore.
  • Is this one particular resort? I know I have stayed on a weekend before at Cactus Gardens in Yuma under C2C. I just did an availability check and it shows weekends open there.
