The ERS dispatcher informed me that they would not let ANY of their service providers repair my tire because of liability, even if the service provider determined that it was safe and acceptable to do so. The GS ERS administrator confirmed this in an earlier post.
My tire was repaired with a DOT approved patch acceptable for commercial trucks. If the patch and repair is safe and approved for 80,000 lb. trucks, then it's certainly good enough for a 30,000 motorhome.
I'll also bet that if there was a problem with the repair, it would be the "liability" of the service provider that did the actual work, not the agency that set up the roadside appointment because I used one of ERS's listed service providers to do the repair!!!
Something doesn't sound right with GS ERS.
