They have been doing this for years and it looks like they are not going to stop.
They send you junk mail telling you your membership is expired. When it is NOT. In hopes that you run to pay it although you still have months left on your current membership. I.E. they got your money for something you should not have had to pay for. Then try getting it back. Fraud.
