Fuel Discount
While the fuel discount at Pilot is appreciated, for many of us, it's a benefit we cannot partake in. Why? Because we own gas motorhomes, or longer trailers being pulled by a truck fueled with gasolin...

One of the problems for me in using my new Flying J Charge card which has a discount is this:
The prices at the Flying J's/Pilots seem to be much higher than other stations in the vicinity and even with the discount they are sometimes still higher than other stations NORMAL price.
In addition I will use my Safeway/Fred Meyer or other supermarket card at their stations which gives me as much as 30,40 or more cents off PER GALLON depending on my grocery purchases and get WAY below the Flying J price.
So I tend to go to those stations.
Another reason I find myself avoiding the Flying J's/Pilots of the world is having to stand in the long lines of drivers trying to get showers, weight tickets and clear their Comdata problems. I'ts not worth the Ten Cents a Gallon in most cases.
