Op, I strongly suspect, the dealer will not remove a single screw, let alone open it up, without a commitment from the ins to pay for such. The RV dealer is not stupid, and this, is not his or her first rodeo, I would bet. Last thing they want is a derelict RV. Without a guarantee of payment, from somebody, I doubt they will rip into it.
Get it to the dealer let them do their job, then go from there in my opinion. Let them sell it to the Ins co, as to the need to do a more detailed inspection, and to if the damage if any was caused by the fire, or is pre-existing
But if the damage is extensive, the ins co may total it. Who knows, just my thoughts. But I might also mention to the Ins company, if they do not allow a through inspection, and god forbid, it burns down from toasted wiring, and someone is hurt or injured, do they really want that wrongful death or injury lawsuit. That's a pretty big hammer, and should get their attention
