I've posted before, but while GS does promote GMAC, they underwrite through several companies. Te quote for GMAC was twice as much as through Allied. It was written by CW. But they did try to go through GMAC first.
Glad you are getting it fixed. As far as the $500. I'm not totally surprised on that. Question is the amount that the shop is charging. Was it higher than normal? I know medical insurance companies negotiate rates with doctors and will only pay a certain amount per procedure. Not sure if RV collision companies do a same thing? I know when we hit e deer with my wife's explorer last month that our insurance company asked who we wanted to fix it and we told them the ford dealership. It worked great as the insurance company does a lot of work with them. Do RV collision companies do the same thing?
