GMAC went the extra mile....

I had posted on another GMAC thread on this forum a day or two ago, and mentioned my displeasure with having to go through 4 different people to finally be able to pay my account premium. I wanted to pay on-line, but that didn't appear to be possible.

Well, today, GMAC made the extra effort to contact me, based on my comments on this forum. The woman told me that they had been contacted by Good Sam, and that they wanted to try and clear things up, if possible.
It turns out that my policy (or any other in N.C.) is a bit unique, and had to be processed as a "commercial" policy for an RV. She said that my policy went through my Allstate Agency, and that the policy was for GMAC (now National General(NG)) had to be run through Clearside General, so I would have to go through the Clearside General website to make on-line payments.
She also told me that she had just gone through the CG site, to make sure that it would do what she was telling me....another extra mile!:)

Yes, it does seem a bit "Big Brother", but I do appreciate that they were willing to go the extra mile....to listen to our complaints here on RV.Net...even when I wasn't really complaining....or expecting anything. Now days, customer service is not what is used to be...though they seem to be trying to make it right!

  • I was on that other GMAC thread also and your experience here has given me hope. I'll keep my options open until renewal time. Thanks for the info.
