I just went to goodsamclub.com and went to the community tab. The last one was chapters, I clicked on it and up came the page for all the states and that lead to state web page. I think you must have gotten into the wrong place.
However I do agree with you that the organization is getting away from the chapters and supporting the chapters. Its ashame to see that but its happening.
