Thank you for the post midnightsadie. When a member calls for service the first place we attempt to find a provider is from our list of vendors. While they already have contracted rates the primary reason we use a network is that they have completed a review process and we know that they are bonded, insured and in good standing. Once the network providers are exhausted in the area we go to the internet to search for vendors. This does require us to negotiate a price with them in some instances but is not the norm. The distance they have to travel is taken into account but sometimes a vendor that is farther away is the only one willing to accept the job. Contrary to popular belief not every vendor will accept a credit card for payment and not every vendor is willing to assist with an RV even if they have the equipment to do so. The average time for us to provide service is between 60 and 90 minutes. That takes into account 15 minute lockouts and 8 hours service calls in Alaska. In a perfect world you would say Good Sam and a vendor would appear to assist like on the insurance commercials but in that same world RVers would have no need for us since they would never have a disablement. We currently run at over a 98% satisfaction rating on approximately 140,000 dispatches per year. We take responsibility for our failures and to our best to ensure that they are not repeated with member's in the future. We can only work on the ones that we are aware of so we welcome posts that are positive and negative on this forum. We appreciate member's taking the time for both.
