Good Sam Ins Renewal Hassle AGAIN!! Really??

6 Mos. ago when renewing our insurance on our MH/toad/& pickup, we were informed that we had no choice of their payment plan and had to pay all up front. I vented here and was contacted by a Good Sam Rep. and received a call from Good Sam apologizing and putting us back on the payment plan. SO now 6 months later Here We go Again. We've Had NG ins for 9 years, always paid on time, and one parking lot scrape (before the last renewal), I've Never had an accident since I started driving in 1964. The wife is looking around Now.. This is BS!

Update: A NGI rep replied to my post within minutes. We received a call first thing this AM and were dealt with fairly. The rep spent quite some time with my wife going over our plan and saving us some money in the process. Our problem was the same computer glitch that red flagged us last time (possibly the age of our MH), that didn't get fixed last time. Mistakes Will be made But it's how they are addressed that's important. We're satisfied that an honest effort was made, so we will stay with NG at this time. Thank You to the NG rep for a fast response and to NG for taking care of this issue.

I hope we do not here from you again in six months

National General WAS a great insurance company to deal with, of course that was PRIOR to Good Sam (read Camping World) taking them over and as with all things GS or CW thing went to hell in a hand basket. It's hard to believe that a company (CW & GS) with such a LOUSEY business plan and reputation can stay in business.

You would probably want to compare what was paid in premiums back then (in 2015 dollars), compared to what is paid today. I'll bet that the GS policy is highly competitive with other policies--plus they are tailored to our market. Sure, there may be a few hiccups when using technology to administer these plans, but if you want solid gold service, be prepared to pay in solid gold bars. There are many insurance companies out there that would gladly charge you 10x what GS does if your priority is to have a 24/7 live agent in Omaha sitting around waiting for your call. If not, be prepared to make the cost/service tradeoff.
  • But Marcus Lemonis is a television celebrity now and has helped hundreds of failing businesses thrive again.

It's too bad that Camping World and Good Sam's can't get their act together for its thousands of customers. Guess they are too large and make way too much profit to worry about their customers and their issues with services. After all the show is called "The Profit"!

    Switch companies.
You know that if they fix your problem it will not stay fixed.

X2! If they can't handle something as simple as this, I wonder how they would handle a claim.
